When photographing jewelry, such as earrings, it is important to control the lighting. If you have access to studio lighting, use two spotlights placed at a 45-degree angle on either side of the jewelry to create soft light and avoid harsh shadows. Adjusting the shutter speed can also help create more depth of field and reduce blur in close-ups.
